During the winter of 1998, two men – one a heathcare executive and the other an attorney - riding on a ski lift on a planning meeting in Colorado, began discussing an idea to create a foundation that would target and coordinate resources toward community needs.  From this conversation, Vision Ministries has emerged as a vibrant, far-reaching ministry based in Nashville, Tennessee.  The initial hopes and efforts of these two men was in response to a simple, but profound, calling to make a difference in the world, by demonstrating through service to community the love of Jesus Christ. Vision Ministries has grown in impact beyond their imaginations.

Vision Ministries has visited the impoverished country of Kyrgyzstan to assist in business development of local villages.  It has cleaned debris from the streets of Katrina-ravaged towns in Mississippi.  It has rebuilt homes of flood victims.  It has restored hope to broken marriages and broken lives.  It has established leaders who care more about their human responsibilities than they do their financial ones.  It has counseled men and women in their commitment to Christ and their commitments to others.  It has developed leaders with a passion for social justice.  It has walked beside young men through difficult times into a manhood based in Biblical truth.  It has worked to liberate child soldiers from the horrible tyranny of ruthless oppression.

The partners and supporters of Vision Ministries recognize that personal growth and spritual maturity are revealed through sacrifice, sharing, caring, and responding to human needs and opportunities.  The beautiful work of the Spirit is revealed through the sometimes difficult work of life – relationships that need healing, physical and emotional support, courage in the face of tyranny, and developing leadership talents through humility and service.

Whether rebuilding a flood ravaged home in Mississippi, counseling couples in troubled marriages, leading men toward greater accountability, or participating in the rescue of child soldiers from Southeast Asia – Vision Ministries is there!

Vision Ministries builds community through service using the example of Jesus Christ.  The ministry is broadly involved in promoting Christian leadership principles, promoting conflict reconciliation, and encouraging social consciousness of business and industry leaders.  The organization is a registered 501-C(3) not-for-profit, tax exempt public charity, who receives its entire support from key donors and ministry contributors.
